Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is thrilled to announce the remarkable achievement of Alessio Lazazzera, their esteemed General Manager, as the recipient of this year's esteemed "European Hotel Manager of the Year" Award bestowed by the EHMA - European Hotel Managers Association. This prestigious accolade recognises an active member who has demonstrated exceptional management prowess throughout the preceding year and over the course of their career.

The award ceremony took place during a gala evening held in the splendid Sala degli Stucchi at Hotel Excelsior, as part of the EHMA Annual General Assembly convened in Venice from April 12th to 14th, 2024. Alessio Lazazzera's victory is a testament to his remarkable ability to blend managerial innovation with a commendable dedication to enhancing both local resources and human capital. Competing for this esteemed honour alongside Lazazzera was Ivica Max Krizmanić, General Director of the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel (Croatia).

Lazazzera brings over three decades of expertise in the hospitality industry, establishing himself as a prominent figure both nationally and across Europe. With a distinguished career spanning iconic establishments such as Grand Hotel Quisisana in Capri and St. Regis Venice San Clemente Palace, Lazazzera has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience. Since 2017, Lazazzera has led Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort.

As a member of EHMA since 2012, Lazazzera has actively contributed to the hospitality community, showcasing his dedication through various roles including Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the recent EHMA international Annual General Assembly. His exceptional managerial skills and commitment to excellence have earned him numerous accolades throughout his illustrious career.

His thirty-year experience has allowed him to brilliantly face and overcome the difficult recent years with total dedication and attention to human resources. Passionate about his work, gifted with rare emotional intelligence, he is an example of visionary leadership.
