A multi-million-dollar renovation is underway on Hotel La Jolla, Curio Collection by Hilton, a landmark 50-year-old property located in the picturesque seaside community of La Jolla, CA. The project is slated for completion in November 2023, and includes a revamp of each of the property's 110 guestrooms and suites, 1,600 square feet of meetings and events space, and 11^th floorwhich will include the opening of Sea & Sky, a penthouse level fine dining restaurant replacing the hotel's existing eatery Cusp Dining & Drinks. The property remains open over the duration of construction, and multiple floors of newly redesigned guestrooms are currently completed and available for immediate reservation.

The new look and feel of the property imagined by award-winning hospitality design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), draws inspiration from the layers of texture, organic shapes, and dreamy color palette that mimics the property's sun kissed coastal location. The redesign of the spaces will offer a stunning nod to the surrounding landscape including the use of neutral flooring and muted blue furnishings celebrating the sand and sea, and artwork reflecting the area's culture, scenery, and rich past. Guestroom upgrades will include new textiles and wallcoverings, stylish, high-end furnishings and upgraded bathrooms, and new, modern outdoor furniture for enjoying the ocean views afforded by every one of the property's guestrooms and suites.

The crown jewel of the full-scale renovation is the redesign and concepting of an all-new 11^th floor restaurant. For the new design, HBA is creating a brighter more modern space showcasing the floor-to-ceiling views which have become the location's hallmark, but with a contemporary color palette and an updated design, elegant private dining area, enclosed show kitchen, and expanded bar. Highlighting the redesign will be the addition of sliding doors to replace the existing floor-to-ceiling windows allowing the wafting in of fresh, salt-tinged sea breezes. In addition to HBA, Hotel La Jolla owners are collaborating with Texas-based Taste & Theory restaurant group on a menu celebrating the bounty of fresh produce, fish, dairy, and meat sourced regionally from the American Pacific Coast and Baja Peninsula, as well as an innovative drink menu featuring a variety of regional California and Valle de Guadalupe wines, and handcrafted cocktails featuring elixirs, herb infusions, fresh-pressed juices, and exotic ingredients from around the world.

Hotel La Jolla is owned by Kawa Capital Management and CL1 Hotels and operated by Southern California-based Evolution Hospitality. The property is part of Hilton's Curio Collection of hotels, meaning members of Hilton's Honors loyalty program can earn points and redeem rewards towards perks including complimentary upgrades, welcome amenities, and free nights.
