We are a special interest group within the Decentralized Identity Foundation (DIF) created to advance the adoption of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and Decentralized Digital Identity (DDID) technologies across hospitality and travel. The group aims to be inclusive to a wide range of expertise and experience, and is relevant to product managers; regulators; compliance experts; innovation lab researchers, as well as technical folks. USE CASE: The traveler (Bob) has a travel itinerary including multiple travel elements by providers. In this case, Bob has a flight, a hotel booking, a dinner reservation and a ground transfer. For either a personal reason or a travel disruption beyond Bob/s control, a change in plans must be made and communicated to the relevant travel providers.
