Following a $4 million renovation, DoubleTree by Hilton Kitchener opened its doors to guests this week. Owned by Sunray Group, a family-owned corporation and one of Canada's fastest growing hospitality and development companies, the hotel will continue its development in the coming years, with 40 additional rooms expected to open in 2021 as well as the addition of a Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel in 2022. Once complete, the dual-branded property will mark the hotel as the first mixed-use project in the Kitchener area.

The property-wide renovation features revamped guest rooms and a complete overhaul of all public spaces, welcoming guests with contemporary furnishings and a modern interior design, in addition to a warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie at check-in.

All guest rooms boast soft lighting and contemporary artwork and have been redesigned to offer a DoubleTree Sweet Dreams® Sleep Experience bed, a 55" flat-screen HDTV, an adjustable work desk with an ergonomic chair and a digital clock with charging capabilities. The renovated guest bathrooms feature Crabtree & Evelyn amenities, granite countertops and heated floors.

DoubleTree by Hilton Kitchener offers some of the largest meetings and events space in the region with 10,000 square feet of flexible space, accommodating up to 450 people for occasions ranging from board meetings to multi-day conferences. Meetings and events guests have access to state-of-the-art technology, stylish furnishings, exceptional service and a dedicated culinary team to make any event shine. After a day of meetings, guests can visit the hotel's 24-hour fitness center or go for a swim in the indoor saltwater pool.

For dining, guests and locals can visit Arbor Kitchen & Bar, the hotel's restaurant featuring North American dishes with an international flare, to sip a cocktail, watch a game or relax by the fire. Menu items include breakfast, lunch and dinner options everyone can enjoy. Beyond the restaurant, room service is also available.
