Miraval Resorts & Spas, a leader in transformative wellbeing destinations, today announces the appointment of Susie Klein as its first-ever director of business development. Klein brings more than three decades of excellence in hospitality and a passion for wellbeing to her role, where she will strategically expand the reach and engagement of transformational Wellbeing Retreats at Miraval Resorts & Spas, contributing to the brand's growth.

A Chicago native, Klein began her professional journey in 1987 at the city's McCormick Center Hotel and held sales roles with The Tremont and The Whitehall Hotels before joining DoubleTree by Hilton in 1992. She entered the luxury sector in 1995 with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, most recently representing Four Seasons One Dalton Street in Boston and the Four Seasons New York Downtown hotels.

In addition to driving business for Miraval Resorts & Spas, Klein is focused on the expanding the reach of the brand's newly launched Wellbeing Retreats, which mindfully and intentionally bring corporate and social groups together to make connections and inspire growth. Each full-service Miraval Resorts property, Miraval Arizona, Miraval Austin and Miraval Berkshires, offers fully customizable itineraries based on the type of group and experiences desired and capitalize on the natural surroundings of each destination to build a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Wellbeing Retreats make thoughtful connections between personal and professional wellbeing and provide environments that enhance leadership skills and empower individuals to thrive in all aspects of life. In her leisure time, Klein practices mindfulness through spending time with her husband and two daughters; cooking, including recipes from the new Miraval Resorts "Recipes for a Life in Balance" cookbook; reading and staying active through regular workouts, walking and biking.
