At the forefront of design, comfort and technology, guests of the Parisian Palace now wake to their personalized and preferred iPod music; Visit Booth No. 3346 at the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show, Nov. 9-11
RAHWAY, N.J. | Hotel Technologies, an affiliate of SDI Technologies and leading worldwide manufacturer of award-winning iPod® accessories, has made yet another French connection with its iHome™ in-room digital alarm clock radio with iPod docking/charging station. Through its distribution partnership with Colombes, France-based Comtrade (), iHome is now installed in 160 guestrooms and suites at the legendary five-star Le Meurice Hotel in Paris.
“Le Meurice is at the forefront of design and technology, and therefore we continually strive to offer the best service and amenities to our guests,” said Lorraine Bossi, Le Meurice purchasing manager. “That means making iPod accessories, such as iHome, readily available in our guestrooms so that guests can listen to – and even wake-up to – their personal music selections.
“Because the iPod has become an essential part of day-to-day life – at home, in the car, outdoors, on the plane, and now at the hotel – it only made sense for us to add the Hotel Technologies’ iHome to our guestrooms,” she said. “iHome enables guests at Le Meurice to feel at home by listening to and waking to their own music while charging their iPod for their next day of sightseeing or business in the City of Light."
Le Meurice is a luxury hotel in the heart of Paris with a prestigious location between Place de la Concorde and the Louvre on the fashionable rue de Rivoli. Following centuries in which Le Meurice has played host to international royalty, fashion designers and countless public figures, this five-star Paris hotel is a place where history and the latest fashionable trends meet.
“Le Meurice is a hotel that epitomizes luxury, elegance and tradition,” said Chris Gowdy, Hotel Technologies Vice President, Sales Division. “In addition to providing impeccable service, Le Meurice perfectly blends classic design with modern technology, as witnessed by placing our iHome on 18th-century style furniture of each of the rooms.
“Hotel Technologies is committed to designing innovative products and smart design concepts that are in tune with today’s technology and travelers,” he said. “Likewise Le Meurice is in tune with its guests and the lively rhythm and elegance of one of the most beautiful cities in the world – Paris. The combination of iHome and Le Meurice brings together the best in design innovation and superior sound with the pinnacle of comfort and splendor. We’re absolutely delighted to be part of the Le Meurice experience by providing their guests with enhanced functionality and customized listening options.”
Tuned into Guest Expectations
“When the iPod is plugged onto the socket of the iHome, its battery is automatically charged,” Bossi said. “Furthermore, the radio alarm/stereo can be programmed either for sleep or wake up, softly or dynamically, with the sound gradually increasing from higher or lower, all without affecting the alarm, or the user’s sound settings. It’s a great way to provide true hospitality through technology.”
iHome will be on display in Booth 3346 at the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show Nov. 9-11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. Call Chris Gowdy at (908) 419-0086 to pre-schedule an appointment.
