DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Miami Airport & Convention Center Partner with PSAV
As Miami's newest convention center facility, the nearly 200,000 square foot destination is gaining market share and recognition as the city's favored event facility due in part to PSAV's state-of-the-art equipment and event execution expertise
Miami – When Miami's newest exhibition hall and conference center opened its doors in April, PSAV® Presentation Services was there. The leading supplier of audiovisual services and event technologies to hotels, associations, producers and meeting planners worldwide has not only become the onsite event-technology provider to the new Miami Airport Convention Center (MACC), but it also has renewed its equipment agreement with the adjacent DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, located at 711 N. W. 72nd Ave., both owned and operated by United Capital Corp. Not only is the MACC the largest convention facility in Miami, but it features the hottest show technologies backed by expert technical support from PSAV.
The new MACC features just shy of 200,000 square feet of meeting and event space when combined with the adjacent and connected DoubleTree by Hilton facilities. The MACC opening is a boon for the Miami convention market. With PSAV as its partner, the facility is able to provide a wide range of event technologies never before offered in Miami.

Recently, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport & Convention Center was awarded the "Most Improved Market Share" sales award by Hilton Worldwide for the DoubleTree by Hilton brand. Ferrara said he attributes the hotel's success to its new affiliation with the MACC and the heightened service and support standards being offered to customers via PSAV.
"We anticipate doubling the number of events held at the hotel this year due in part to the new, large footprint of the facility and to our ability to attract new business thanks to PSAV's support," Ferrara said. "PSAV's certification for HD video conferencing alone is a big draw. When you combine that with their specialized lighting and sound production, we are well equipped to service a completely new market of convention and meeting business. The multi-million dollar modernization of the Miami Airport Convention Center includes a total of 172,000 square feet of meeting space, a 29,000-square-foot ballroom and the ability to host more than 400 tradeshow booths. With interiors that incorporate some of Miami’s iconic design elements, the MACC’s extensive improvements include new lighting, A/C, escalators, elevators, restrooms, flooring and a completely new entrance lobby. The adjacent Doubletree Hotel has also completed renovations to guest rooms and added a new signature restaurant and lobby bar. The hotel features 20,000 square feet of event space, including a 10,000 square foot ballroom and four breakouts, measuring approximately 2,500 square feet each.
