The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane named Five-Star hotels by Forbes Travel Guide
Two out of only six hotels in London deemed best in class by Forbes Travel Guide are part of luxury hotel portfolio, Dorchester Collection
London – Dorchester Collection's iconic British hotel in the heart of Mayfair, The Dorchester, and new contemporary hotel 45 Park Lane of the same location, were awarded Forbes Travel Guide highest Five-Star Award, two of only six hotels in London to receive the recommendation, and only 82 in the world. This marks the first hotel ratings in Europe for Forbes Travel Guide, which has anonymously inspected and rated hotels, restaurants and spas since the company’s founding in 1958 as Mobil Travel Guide.
The only hotel in the UK to offer a three Michelin star restaurant, The Dorchester has also undergone recent refurbishment of 22 new suites and further rooms fusing modern comfort with the classic English style and timeless glamour the property is prized for. At new London hotel 45 Park Lane just opposite, art meets contemporary art deco style where all guest rooms overlook Hyde Park and feature advanced technology. Destination dining is offered with CUT at 45 Park Lane, Wolfgang Puck’s debut restaurant in Europe which opened at the hotel to critical acclaim.
According to Forbes Travel Guide, the Five-Star Award sets both The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane apart as “one of the finest establishments in the world, delivering guests service and an experience beyond expectation.”
Roland Fasel, UK regional director and general manager of The Dorchester, noted, “The Dorchester has always catered to a strong and loyal following from the American market, and 45 Park Lane has already proved a hit with east and west coast travelers particularly. We are honored to be recognized by the Forbes Travel Guide for the highest-quality guest experience we provide day in and day out. It takes every member of our staff to assure the luxury and attentiveness our guests expect, and I’m delighted to receive these awards on their behalf.”
“Forbes Travel Guide’s Star Awards represent the best in class in luxury hospitality, with a primary emphasis on guest engagement and service,” said Michael Cascone, President and COO of Forbes Travel Guide.
