NYLO Hotels Opens the 285-room NYLO New York City; Second NYLO to Open in Nyack, NY in Late 2014
NYLO Hotels LLC, the Dallas-based lifestyle hotel chain known for its urban loft decor and uniquely designed and highly social bars and restaurants, has opened its fifth hotel location in New York City.
NYLO New York City is the boutique brand's first New York property, located on Manhattan's Upper West Side at Broadway & 77th Street. NYLO Hotels has plans to expand further in New York State with a second location in Nyack, NY which is slated to open in the Hudson River Valley in late 2014.
NYLO New York City features good sized, fully renovated guest rooms, outstanding food and beverage venues, and a great location on the Upper West Side of Manhattan." says NYLO Hotels Founder and CEO Michael Mueller. "NYLO New York City is an ideal hotel for both business and leisure travelers, minutes from almost anywhere in Manhattan, a short walk from Central Park and with the charm and amenities of one of New York City's most desired neighborhoods."
The 285-room NYLO New York City includes 33 suites, as well as select rooms with private balconies and sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, Hudson River and Central Park. The hotel's design pays homage to the Roaring Twenties era in the lobby and restaurant, and each guest room captures the cultural and historic essences of New York City while maintaining the industrial design style that distinguishes the NYLO brand. As with all NYLO properties, NYLO New York City's walls spotlight original artwork from emerging local artists, commissioned exclusively for the hotel.
With a nod to the hotel's prohibition-inspired décor, NYLO New York's LOCL Bar, located in the hotel's lobby, provides the ultimate social gathering spot for both locals and guests. LOCL Bar offers a taste of New York's finest brews and signature cocktails, including the Strawberry Fields Bramble and the Upper West Side Old-Fashioned.
Located adjacent to NYLO New York City, Dim Sum Master Joe Ng, Chinese food expert Ed Schoenfeld and restaurant insider Jeffrey Chodorow have teamed up to launch the Upper West Side's first RedFarm. Known for its modern and inventive approach to Chinese cuisine, RedFarm's rustic décor will bring a fresh perspective to the neighborhood.
Guests will also have access to the hotel's own Serafina restaurant, offering a selection of Northern Italian cuisine evocative of Italy's old-world charm and signature dishes.
Set to open in Summer 2014, NYLO Nyack will be located in the heart of the Hudson River Valley, about 25 miles north of New York City. The 132-room hotel will be housed in a four-story former factory and will include a full-service restaurant, bar and lounge; recreational bathing pool, fitness center, library and game room; a business center; and approximately 4,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 2,500-square-foot ballroom; and a music studio with a live broadcasting radio booth.
"With the opening of our first New York hotel upon us and a second on the horizon, we are thrilled to extend the NYLO brand to New York, and look forward to introducing our guests to the quintessential NYLO experience," says Mueller.
