Meliá Hotels International will open the Meliá Dunas on 1st November, its second hotel on the island of Sal in Cabo Verde after the successful opening of the Meliá Tortuga Beach Resort & Spa in 2011. The other openings planned by the company in Cabo Verde include the Meliá Llana Resort & Spa, on the island of Sal, and the Meliá White Sands on the island of Boa Vista. All the hotels are owned by the British company, The Resort Group PLC, with which Meliá Hotels International continues strengthening its ties.

Meliá Dunas is a five star all inclusive resort located on the southwest coast of the island of Sal in Cabo Verde. It is right on the beautiful Algodoeiro beach and facing a coral reef with a rich variety of marine life. This luxury resort is just a few minutes from the colourful city of Santa María and Amilcar Cabral international airport.

Amongst its superb services and facilities, the Meliá Dunas provides 1,143 luxurious suites distributed amongst several buildings, all with fabulous views, 14 bars and 5 restaurants offering a culinary journey through the world's different cuisines, a spectacular YHI spa, a gym, 5 outdoor pools for adults and 2 children's pools, a themed play area, sports facilities and 1,000 m2 for events and meetings.
