Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center Set to Open in the Washington D.C. Area in Spring 2015
Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center, the newest Hyatt Regency-branded hotel in the Washington D.C.-Northern Virginia area in more than 20 years, is expected to open in early 2015. The 18-story property will offer business and leisure travelers an upscale, dynamic hotel experience and feature rich design, modern guestrooms, and state-of-the-art meeting space - all in the heart of the trendy downtown Tysons Corner, Va.
Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center - steps away from the Silver Line Metrorail Station - will connect to Tysons Corner Center shopping mall and offer easy access to the nation's capital, Northern Virginia's technology and corporate center, and two major airports. The hotel will reflect the vibrant and local community of Tysons Corner and encourage guests to experience and connect to the destination. From quick coffee dates to shared culinary experiences, or meetings and special events, the hotel will offer guests access to the local happenings both inside and outside the hotel doors.
"The entire team at Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center looks forward to energizing guests by connecting them to the people and things that matter most during their hotel stay," said Daniel Amato, general manager of Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center. "We will be working to foster connections, so our guests can work or play, collaborate or recharge with everything they need right at their fingertips. It will be a one-stop experience."
At Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center, social spaces will take on a new meaning. The smartly configured lobby will allow guests to meet and connect with complimentary Wi-Fi and convenient access to power outlets, meals and snacks. These conveniences are all designed to keep guests in sync with people and information without having to leave the hotel.
For guests who decide to venture out, the newly built hotel will easily connect them to the Tysons Corner Center shopping mall, one of the world's largest upscale shopping malls with more than 300 stores and restaurants. "Within walking distance from Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center, guests can enjoy some of the best shopping and most popular stores including American Girl Doll, L.L.Bean, Bloomingdale's, Apple, Tesla Motors, Under Armour, and more," said Amato. Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center will also be a short walk from the recently opened Silver Line Metrorail Station, which provides easy access to Washington D.C. with a 30-minute ride to Union Station. The hotel will be located about 15 miles from both Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan National Airport.
Just a few steps outside of the hotel, guests will be able to experience a one-and-a-half acre elevated outdoor plaza that features year-round activities and events including family movies and concerts, festivals such as Oktoberfest, ice skating in the winter, life-sized board games, bicycle and walking paths, and a gigantic pirate ship playground for children to enjoy.
Tysons Corner Center is located within easy driving distance to the world-renowned Wolftrap Center of the Performing Arts, The Patriot Center, and many historic sites including the Manassas and Bull Run Battlefields, Mount Vernon, and many monuments and museums. It will also be near several wineries and breweries that offer tours of their vineyards and brewing facilities.
Guestrooms
The vibrant and upbeat energy of Tysons Corner will be captured in the style of the hotel's modern and upscale accommodations. The hotel will offer 300 state-of-the-art guestrooms including 18 lavish suites with deluxe bathrooms. Many rooms will overlook the bustling elevated plaza and the popular Tysons Corner area. Guestrooms will feature panoramic views, the latest in Hyatt Regency amenities, state-of-the-art in-room entertainment and new business technologies.
"Our contemporary guestrooms feel more like a private apartment with a collection of minimalistic and conceptual art work. We've incorporated neutral- and light-colored fabrics combined with warm wood tones so our rooms are always modern and up-to-date," said Amato. "We designed the rooms with the latest conveniences and technology in mind, including night-light foot sensors, 48-inch flat panel televisions with remote control, and wireless high-speed Internet access that is complimentary in guestrooms and public spaces to keep guests connected to people and information without ever needing to leave the hotel."
