SALTO releases sleek new AElement Fusion electronic hotel lock with RFID, wireless and mobile technology
SALTO Systems, a leading manufacturer of electronic access control solutions for hospitality, has released the next level in hotel lock engineering for guest rooms: AElement Fusion.
AElement Fusion is an electronic lock with a sleek reader accentuated by an interactive light ring that illuminates when access credentials are presented, providing a minimalistic design that blends with any hotel décor. The AElement Fusion is compatible with RFID and BLE (Bluetooth) technologies that integrate seamlessly with mobile applications including SALTO Systems' JustIN Mobile.

The first version of AElement locks using RFID contactless technology has been a great success: thousands of hotels have installed this model in their properties and millions of guests have used it. The new AElement Fusion is equipped with RFID and Near Field Communication (NFC), with improved reading distance, but also adds Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This additional feature allows users to lock and unlock doors using their phone as a room key with the help of JustIN Mobile.
JustIN Mobile is the latest technological innovation from SALTO Systems. SALTO revolutionized access control with a pioneering approach that featured the first stand-alone, battery-powered electronic lock; the SALTO Virtual Network (SVN) data-on-card technology; and the first wireless access control system that combined a stand-alone locking device with online, real-time capabilities — all without using wires or mechanical keys.
The JustIN Mobile app uses the latest in technology to communicate securely via the Cloud and enables hotel guests to receive their room key online, anytime and anywhere. The JustIN Mobile app is completely secure as keys cannot be duplicated, unlike mechanical keys or some low-security RFID technologies. The encrypted data transfer uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) AES 128-bit encryption opening procedures to ensure secure transmission.

Adding the latest in technology hasn't had an impact on design, however, since being stylish is a part of SALTO's DNA. AElement Fusion eliminates lock hardware on the door by encasing all electronic components inside the door itself, making security virtually invisible. In an effort to offer a variety of door handles and finishes to compliment the new AElement Fusion – and more – SALTO has collaborated with one of Italy's leading handle designers, Colombo Design. The new partnership enables SALTO to provide an even more comprehensive selection of unique handle options to customers, supplementing those already available from SALTO's in-house offerings.
Colombo will make its best designs available for customers to choose from a high quality selection suitable for both the SALTO XS4 and AElement electronic locks product lines. The Colombo line is compatible with both ANSI standard and DIN EU door standards.
