Chip Rogers named Council Member at Forbes Nonprofit Council in Jersey City
Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) President and CEO Chip Rogers has joined the prestigious Forbes Nonprofit Council. The council selects, by invitation only, the best and most respected nonprofit leaders in the world. Specifically, individuals must be part of a certified 501(3) organization with a minimum of $1 million in annual donor contributions or annual revenue and serve in an executive or chief executive role. At least 85% of the Forbes Community Selection Committee must vote in the individual’s favor for an invitation to be extended. The Forbes Nonprofit Council provides world-class peer-to-peer learning opportunities for members and is part of the Forbes Councils family. Other Forbes Councils include Forbes Technology Council, Forbes Coaches Council, Forbes Legal Council and Forbes Agency Council. Rogers, who served ten years in the the Georgia General Assembly, was twice unanimously elected Senate Majority Leader. During his political career, Rogers was an outspoken advocate for education reform, authoring both the Grade Integrity Act and the Digital Learning Act. His commitment to education led to national recognition by the Foundation for Excellence in Education and Students First.
