A full-scale renovation was recently completed on The Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Manhattan Beach, located just four miles from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and one mile from the Manhattan Beach Pier. The 18-month project included a comprehensive exterior renovation, construction of a free-standing fitness center building, new signage, elevated landscaping, and pool deck expansion; including multiple new fire pits and BBQ grilling areas. Additionally, all public spaces received a fully-upgraded interior, while all 176 guestroom suites were completely remodeled and a new 300-square-foot boardroom was added to compliment the remodeled 650-square-foot meeting room space for group events. The property is owned by Seattle-based Washington Holdings and managed by Evolution Hospitality.

The hotel's new design encompasses a cozy beach-house aesthetic to encourage a relaxing home-away-from-home vibe. The theme is captured in each guestroom suite with upgraded furnishings, drapery, textiles and small details in light gray hues with pops of color in navy blue reflecting the calm waters of the nearby Pacific Ocean. Guestroom bathrooms also feature upgraded glass showers, fixtures, new tile floors and marble vanities. Guests can enjoy 50-inch LCD TVs with premium movie channels, fully-equipped in-room kitchens, and desks with ergonomic chairs for an efficient workspace.

The newly-refreshed 665-square-foot meeting room was outfitted with new carpeting, wallcovering and drapery, with expansive windows offering a bounty of natural lighting. This space is ideal for meetings, reunions, and other events for groups from 10 to 40 attendees. A 300-square-foot boardroom was also added for a more intimate space for smaller meetings and corporate gatherings. Amenities for all on-site meetings and events include complimentary internet and guest parking. The hotel also offers amenities like The Mix™ that includes complimentary light bites and drinks Monday through Wednesday evenings, a brand-new 24-hour fitness center, and the 24-hour business center that provides free printing, computer access, and faxing capabilities. In addition to the property renovation, the entire 4.5-acre hotel grounds, including the frontage aligning Sepulveda Boulevard (Pacific Coast Highway) was revamped with lush landscaping and foliage providing guests with a fresh, welcoming experience.
