Sea Island, a Forbes Five-Star resort on the coast of Georgia, proudly unveils the remaining three components of a $30+ million enhancement initiative, including the all-new 4,200 square-foot King Cottage, the completely redesigned Plantation Course, and Sea Strike & Pub, a brand new six-lane bowling alley and restaurant.

Ideal for golf groups, the expansive King Cottage at The Lodge overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and features four bedrooms, each with its own marble bathroom; a large living and dining area for entertaining; a catering kitchen with Executive Chef; and most notably, a private, indoor hitting bay where players hit directly onto the driving range. Located just steps from the brand new 17,000 square-foot Golf Performance Center, the King Cottage is an ideal golf buddy retreat for groups looking to elevate their game at one of the finest golf resorts in the country while enjoying an exceptional private cottage.

Plantation, Sea Island's oldest course, re-opened in October 2019 following a nearly year-long renovation by Davis Love III and his brother, Mark. With a nod to classic architecture, Love Golf Design used influences from golf architecture legends Walter Travis, Donald Ross, C.B McDonald, and Seth Raynor to create the new Plantation masterpiece. The golf course features strategic bunkering and classic green complexes, which plays wonderfully through majestic oaks and along the St. Simons Sound. Views throughout are breathtaking, while a premium is placed on accurate shots to the green. A great mix of short and long holes gives the player a fun and memorable round. Along with the signature Seaside Course, Plantation serves as the site of the annual RSM Classic, a PGA TOUR FedEx Cup tournament hosted by Davis Love III.

Finally, Sea Island also recently debuted Sea Strike & Pub, the resort's six-lane bowling alley, at the Sea Island Beach Club. Guests can enjoy time with family, join friends, or gather for an unforgettable celebration in an elevated bowling alley setting that features comfortable seating, handsome bar, and 11 TVs tuned to cover everyone's favorite team. The pub boasts creative cocktails and an imaginative gastropub-style menu that incorporates both shared plates and bar classics such as a giant Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese and an assortment of flatbread pizzas. Classic games including shuffleboard and darts add to a lively atmosphere both day and night.

The debut of these three amenities and facilities complement other substantial investments Sea Island has made over the past two years, particularly to enhance the golf experience, including the addition of the new Golf Performance Center, six "golf in, golf out" cottages, the 18-hole Speedway putting course, a pool and pool house, extended practice facility, and short game area, all overlooking the Atlantic.
