Ferrado announced today the rebrand and renovation to el PRADO, formerly known as the Garden Court Hotel, a 62-room boutique property set in the heart of downtown Palo Alto. Inspired by Spanish open-air living and the enchanting residential feel of the surrounding community, this refresh will focus on transforming the hotel's interior layout, creating an authentic and vibrant luxury destination designed for the discerning business and leisure traveler.

Overseen by award-winning hotel design firm, NICOLEHOLLIS, el PRADO will emphasize a warm, tranquil respite that delivers a balance between the intimacy of a stately Spanish home and a contemporary destination. Known for a holistic approach that unifies natural surroundings into each interior design project, Hollis draws on botanical themed nuances, including an abundance of lush greenery and the flor do toxo of Spanish hillsides, to connect each space to el PRADO's central courtyard and focal point. The color palette will highlight rich black forest greens, stone blues, touches of terracotta orange, and a blend of neutral tones that bring a casual air to the more refined, modern design details, creating a distinct ambiance throughout the hotel.

As part of the renovation, el PRADO will also debut a two-floor glass solarium outfitted with cozy seating adjacent to the breakfast eatery, ideal for remote working or relaxing with a morning coffee. Rounding out the refresh will include a second-floor bar offering light Spanish inspired bites. The hotel also offers 6,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and event space designed for corporate groups, weddings, and specialty celebrations. Included in the event space is The Library, el PRADO's latest addition that features a boardroom table, separate lounge area with plush couches, and full technology capabilities for video conferencing. The back courtyard area will also feature a large fireplace and outdoor lounge furniture adjacent to lobby-level meeting rooms for breakout sessions. The guest rooms will remain intact following a completed top-to-bottom renovation in 2019.

Upon opening, el PRADO will be certified as a Clean & Safe Hotel within the California Hotel and Lodging Association – implementing precautionary measures provided by the association's Clean & Safe Guidelines, including contactless check-in and robust cleaning measures ensuring the overall health and wellbeing for guests and staff.
