On the heels of a multi-million-dollar renovation, The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa has officially changed their name to The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa. When the resort was originally built in 1987, the tourism powerhouse of the Coachella Valley was Palm Springs, hence why the hotel was not originally named for its location in Rancho Mirage. Since the resorts inception Rancho Mirage has blossomed as a tourism destination in its own right. As the hotel prepares to complete their $15 million dollar property-wide renovation they felt now was the time for a name change that reflects the destination the resort calls home, Rancho Mirage.
With this transformation, The Westin is bringing forth a whole new tranquil atmosphere on property weaving wellness throughout the resort experience. The resort's new Director of Spa & Wellness is incorporating wellness through unique in-room spa offerings, healthy restaurant menu options, new treatments, and incorporating wellness activities and classes into the resort's programming. The Westin has always aligned itself as a leading-edge wellness brand, focused on the pillars of Sleep Well, Move Well, Eat Well, Play Well and Work Well, and with this renovation they're expanding it further than just the spa.
