60% of construction work now complete and 30% of units sold, as eco-friendly condotel joins WorldHotels to expand appeal to lifestyle-seeking guests from around the world.
Layan Green Park, the new eco-friendly family condotel in Phuket, is on schedule and working towards being completed by the first quarter of 2023. The company announced today that this pioneering property is expected to start welcoming its first guests in the second quarter of 2023, marking the start of a new era of environmentally-conscious hospitality in Thailand.
It can also be revealed that Layan Green Park has become a member of WorldHotels' Distinctive Collection. In doing so, it joins one of the hotel industry's most highly respected upscale portfolios, with a collection of "unique, welcoming and attainable" properties all around the world. Kazakhstan-based construction giant RAMS has been named as a new investor in the project.
Perfectly positioned just 700 metres from the golden sands of Layan Beach and only 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport, Layan Green Park will feature 403 fully-equipped condo units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom suites in four low-rise buildings overlooking tropical gardens and shaded walkways. Facilities will include three freeform pools, a spa, sauna, yoga sala, indoor or outdoor gyms, a large kids' club and playground, a restaurant, bar and 24-7 concierge services. Laguna Phuket, with its international supermarket, medical centre, golf course and other amenities, is just 10 minutes' drive away.
With a green rooftop, living walls and advanced energy saving solutions, this is also the first hospitality project in Thailand to receive the EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) green building certificate, creating outstanding benefits for residents and the entire island. With solar panelling, innovative air conditioning systems, advanced water purification solutions and more, owners can expect to save more than 40% on their utility bills.
To-date, 60% of the structural work at Layan Green Park has been completed, and three out of the four condo buildings are almost finished. Development has progressed well in recent months, despite the impact of the global pandemic, and buyers have been able to track the progress of the project from the comfort of their homes via a live streaming camera. Of the 403 units, 30% have now been sold to Thai and international buyers, including savvy investors in Southeast Asia and Europe. Interestingly, a large number of these transactions was conducted in cryptocurrencies.
