The Kinney SLO has completed a long-awaited transformation to become The Wayfarer San Luis Obispo. The second Wayfarer hotel concept to date (the first opened in DTLA in 2020), The Wayfarer SLO invites guests to experience its refreshed guestrooms and newly rebranded restaurant and bar, Schoolyard Burgers & Brew.

Offering an all-new experience in the heart of the city, The Wayfarer SLO is a quick drive from the San Luis Obispo airport and less than a mile away from downtown and the Cal Poly SLO campus. Tapping into the classic college experience - minus those pesky PAs and noisy bunk beds - property highlights include:

Stay: The 100 boutique, Cal Poly inspired rooms tap into the nostalgia of college days: Dean's suite, Professor's suite, Campus King and Queen all embrace the staples of dorm life right down to script-embroidered pillows and collage-style photographs on the walls inspired by the coastal college town, without shorting guests on modern amenities.
Eat: Schoolyard offers an elevated twist on pub-style classics from smash burgers to boozy milkshakes and hyper-local beers on tap, including Schoolyard Blonde, a co-branded brew with Antigua Brewing. Thirteen TVs set the stage for game day watch parties and a new Weekend Brunch features items like the hangover burger, breakfast sando, breakfast tot bowl, Bloody Mary's and Mimosas.
