On Friday 24th March 2023, the luxury Paradisus by Meliá brand makes its debut in Spain with the opening of Paradisus Gran Canaria. Located on the idyllic island of Gran Canaria, it provides 297 rooms and suites, avant-garde wellness facilities with the latest technology, and nine dining areas that offer global cuisine and traditional local flavours.

The idea behind the innovative brand vision is a hotel that focuses on connecting guests with the destination, local culture and the natural environment. The exceptional Destination Inclusive® experiences, which are included in the price of the stay, reinvent the traditional "all inclusive", taking it to another level based on a connection with the destination and all the possibilities it has to offer.

Paradisus Gran Canaria and Paradisus Salinas Lanzarote, the latter due to open on 22nd May 2023, are destined to become the genuine "place to be" and an authentic revolution in hotel concepts in Spain for 2023.

Gran Canaria, "a miniature continent", is the third largest island in the Canary Islands with a 'World Biosphere Reserve' status by UNESCO. The long coastline, endless white sand beaches and enviable year-round climate make the island one of the most popular Spanish destinations. The new Paradisus Gran Canaria is now ready to welcome guests to this desired location and with the brand's "Embrace Your Nature" concept, Meliá Hotels International now offers the chance for guests to immerse themselves in the culture of each destination in which the hotels are located.

André Gerondeau, Chief Operating Officer Meliá Hotels International, states "Every one of our hotels has a strong bond with the place where they are located. That's why we are convinced that the combination of the new luxury services provided by Paradisus by Meliá and all the attractions of local culture and nature are the perfect way to provide our guests with truly unique experiences".

With the architecture, design and interior design led by the ASAH studio of the architect Álvaro Sans, all guestrooms and suites, the superior Nikté and The Reserve (the latter with private and adults-only areas) all have a serene and relaxing ambience thanks to the surrounding natural environment, privileged sea views and a design in harmony with the beauty of its surroundings.

The design of the rooms at Paradisus Gran Canaria has a very organic look and feel, with neutral and relaxing colours accompanied by contemporary furniture and artisan decorations. There is also a focus on works by local artists which are prominent in each of the areas in the room.

To comply with the brand and hotel group's commitment to sustainability, the bedding and amenities are 100% sustainable, recyclable and made using environmentally friendly materials. The products in the minibar are all produced by local artisans to reduce their impact on the environment.
