Officials of Shaner Hotels, an award winning, international hotel owner, operator and developer, today announced the completed conversion of the 124-room Courtyard by Marriott Marathon Florida Keys to the Courtyard Faro Blanco Resort. The newly converted property, owned by Prime Group and operated by Shaner, marks Marriott International's first Courtyard Resort in the United States. The hotel plans to add cabanas and additional lighting to the pool deck with more activities and on-site experiences for guests

Nestled at 2146 Overseas Highway in Marathon, Fla., in the heart of the Florida Keys, the full-service resort provides luxuries including an infinity pool, marina view pool, outdoor whirlpool, 24/7 fitness center, private cabanas, firepits perfect for s'mores, family game lawn, private dock and private sunning beach. Guests can enjoy activities including live music, nightly beach bonfires, water sports rental equipment and Eventide, a Caribbean-style celebration hosted nightly. The resort also plans to add additional daily activities and seasonal guest experiences. With décor inspired by the Florida Keys, guest rooms provide travelers with a mini-fridge, microwave, complimentary wireless internet, coffee/tea maker and oversized LCD television. In addition, suites feature water views, balconies, separate living and sleeping areas and fully equipped kitchenettes. Dining options include Blue Waters Pool Bar & Grill, serving fun, casual Marathon Key inspired dishes, such as Key West pink shrimp, fish tacos and handcrafted cocktails. The resort also provides 14,000 sq ft of flexible space between indoor and outdoor venues to fit all types of events, weddings and meetings.
