Scheduled for Spring 2025358 RoomsHotel website
The ibis Styles brand, renowned for its exceptional and unique designs at more than 560 hotels around the world, is growing thanks to a new addition at Munich Airport. The project officially got under way with the groundbreaking ceremony on May 30, 2023. The 358-room hotel is due to open in spring 2025. The owner of the building is Munich Airport, while Accor will operate the hotel under a management contract. The hotel will offer an open-plan lobby with a breakfast area, bar, restaurant and co-working space, as well as a gym and dedicated parking. The theme for the hotel's design will center on the Isar river in its many forms.
An inviting haven a stone's throw from the airport guests at the new ibis Styles Munich Airport will arrive to find an extraordinary and modern design, inspired by the Isar, that alludes to the nature surrounding the airport. The central themes will revolve around woodland and water. Even the blue-green rectangular façade of the ibis Styles will call to mind the interplay of light and color to be found in the forests of Bavaria. The arrangement of the louvers will not only create an interesting design effect but will also make it possible to optimize the use of sunlight and shade inside the hotel. The color scheme will continue in the interior and be combined with abstract rippling and stone structures as well as representations of woodland motifs.
The open-plan lobby will act as the heart of the hotel. It will offer a wide range of seating as well as a restaurant, a bar and a separate breakfast area, plus space for co-working. The plans also include a children's area and a self-service food market. In addition to the hotel's own parking facilities, the hotel at Munich Airport will enjoy excellent links to the public transit network.
