Located at Rua Pedroso Alvarenga, the new Hotel is Fasano's second in São Paulo.
Exactly 20 years after the opening of Fasano São Paulo Jardins, the Hotel that defined the concept of luxury hospitality in Brazil, Fasano Group announces its second property in the capital, this time in the Itaim-Bibi neighborhood. The new Fasano São Paulo Itaim, the Group's tenth Hotel, is undoubtedly one of the most awaited developments of the year in the city's new economic hub. Open on May, 2023, the new property pays homage to the original Hotel in São Paulowhile incorporating new elements as a nod to the passage of time between the two projects.
The Hotel Fasano São Paulo Itaim testifies to the Group's ambitious global expansion - which includes the two recent openings of Fasano Fifth Avenue in New York City and Fasano Trancoso in Bahia, Brazil - and continues its successful partnership with JHSF.
To preserve the brand's signature look and historic references, Fasano invited architect Marcio Kogan, who also led the design for Fasano São Paulo Jardins, to bring classic touches from the brand's Italian heritage while adding contemporary flourishes to the interior design for the first time, together with Aflalo/Gasperini.
Upon entering the reception area, guests notice the brand's characteristic design in the lobby and the interconnected lobby bar. The space features sofas, armchairs, and tables by Italian furniture company Minotti, particularly the Brasília and Daiki lines designed by Marcio Kogan's Studio MK27. They are combined with pieces by national designers, such as the GB bench by Geraldo de Barros, and the Del Rei armchair by Polish-born Brazilian Jorge Zalszupin. Lamps and furniture hailing from France, Italy, and Brazil, which were hand-picked by Ana Joma Fasano and Gero Fasano from antique shops, add a refined air to the shared environment.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Gero restaurant, Gero Fasano has opened a second location within Fasano São Paulo Itaim. The 100-seat venue also features a terrace for a stylized indoor-outdoor dining experience. The new location of Gero is situated adjacent to the Hotel lobby and has a private dining room for parties of up to 20 guests.
The new restaurant is led by Lomanto Oliveira, an acclaimed chef with over 18 years of experience at the brand crafting refined Italian cuisine for the Fasano and Gero restaurant concepts in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and most recently Salvador.
The first floor showcases an intimate, private lounge open to guests to enjoy breakfast as well as available to rent for private events up to 160 people.
Towering over 20 floors, the 107 residential-style accommodations at Fasano São Paulo Itaim range from 30 to 190 m² (323 to 2,045 ft²) and are divided into six categories. The bathroom décor is a timeless journey through different generations of celebrated Brazilian designers: the Vronka armchair from Sergio Rodrigues is combined with the Matriz sofa by Jader Almeid and the slatted bench from Studio MK27. The suites are additionally decorated with images of ancient Italy, all collected by Gero Fasano himself in his travels.
Five Spa treatment rooms, one of which is designed for couples' therapy, two saunas (dry and traditional), a beauty salon, and a state-of-the-art gym compose the leisure space. The Hotel also offers a Business Center equipped with five meeting rooms.
Boasting spectacular views and a relaxing atmosphere, the bar and pool on the property's top floor offer panoramic vistas of the surrounding cityscapes and the nearby neighborhood of Jardim Europa. The rooftop accommodates up to 40 guests and is open for reservations to both overnight and day guests.
Fasano São Paulo Itaim also includes a residential building, composed of 70 apartments ranging from 288 to 500 m² (3,100 to 5,382 ft²), a leisure area, hospitality amenities and gastronomic services.
