Accor continues its dynamic growth in Croatia. The global leader in hospitality, in cooperation with MPPD as the management partner, will introduce one of its premium brands to the country's capital. Pullman Zagreb is set to welcome its first guests in Q3 of 2024.
The brand-new Pullman hotel will bolster the attractiveness of the City Island development area as a major business hub of the booming Novi Zagreb district of the country's capital. The upper upscale urban haven will be managed by Accor in collaboration with MPPD who is also a partner of Mövenpick Zagreb and upcoming Mövenpick Split. MPPD, one of the fastest growing hospitality companies in Croatia, is planning further hotel development projects in the near future.
Pullman Zagreb will boast 193 rooms and feature a variety of amenities, such as an elegant restaurant, a chic lobby bar, state-of-the-art conference facilities, and a serene wellness centre. The striking building with a steel and glass façade and a spacious terrace will provide guests with an impressive and comfortable urban retreat.
The hotel is part of the larger City Island development, one of the most significant investments in Croatia, stretching across 80,000 sqm of land. When completed, the City Island will accommodate over 15,000 employees and encompass 250,000 sqm of overall space (of which more than half is office space). The project is rapidly becoming a thriving hub of business and commerce in the booming southern district of Zagreb.
The strategic location of Pullman Zagreb positions the hotel as an integral part of the burgeoning business centre within Novi Zagreb, a district south of the Sava River and the historical city centre. This dynamic area houses the Zagreb Fair facilities and the famous Museum of Contemporary Art. It also serves as a base for Croatian businesses and the regional headquarters of international corporations. The hotel's proximity to two shopping malls and the United States embassy adds further appeal to the locale.
With excellent connectivity, guests can easily access Zagreb's historical centre and its iconic landmarks. Moreover, the Zagreb Airport, the largest in Croatia, is a mere 12-minute drive away, making Pullman Zagreb a true gateway to the captivating capital city and beyond.
Besides being a major commercial and financial centre, Zagreb is also developing into a famed tourist destination in Croatia. The city attracts many tourists from Austria, Germany, and Italy who come to explore historical monuments, museums, and art galleries. People in Zagreb have a rich, artistic life including music, theatre and dance. From a youngster's point of view, the city offers a happening nightlife, plenty of bars, restaurants and cafés, and lots of cinemas theatres that screen Hollywood films.
Today, it is the only city in Croatia with a population of over one million. Yet, as the city advances into the new millennium, it has retained its old charisma and welcoming attitude towards foreign visitors.
