Namron Hospitality, a locally-rooted collection of Mexican hotels and restaurants in Tulum, Mexico City, and San Miguel de Allende, has unveiled the expansion of its flagship property - La Valise Mexico City - open as of January 2024.

In the vibrant La Roma neighbourhood in the heart of Mexico City, the extraordinary property, formerly recognised as the world's smallest boutique hotel with just three bedrooms, has now revealed an additional five suites, along with a new living room and a 'Piscinema' pool/cinema concept, all situated in the neighbouring property.

In 2014, Namron Hospitality's Founder and CEO Yves Naman stumbled upon a captivating 1920s French-style townhouse and was instantly drawn to the charming space, so he embarked upon an adventurous project. With clear vision and desire to create a distinctive hospitality experience, he transformed the townhouse into a hotel, and La Valise Mexico City's meticulously designed suites quickly became an icon of refined luxury and personalised hospitality in the capital. This endeavour marked the inception of the 'La Valise Hotels' brand and Namron Hospitality as a group, setting the stage for a collection of inspiring gallery-like hotels that celebrate local art, culture, and community through travel.

Located on the enchanting Tonala Street, the expansion will be housed in the majestic townhouse right next door to the existing hotel, extending to the corner of Colima Street. The five new individually designed suites have been thoughtfully curated and brought to life by Naman and in-house Design Director, Roberto Ayala. Rooted in a love for craftsmanship, each spacious suite feels more like its own private residence, adorned with intriguing Mexican artefacts, vintage treasures, and bespoke furnishings, handcrafted artwork, and holds its own distinct character.

The brand's iconic rolling slide-out king beds are featured in two of the new suites, as seen in the existing Terraza suite, as well as in sister property La Valise Tulum, and effortlessly transition guests from the bedroom to a private terrace, offering a distinctive way to soak up the cityscape with in-suite projectors for evenings and movie nights al fresco.

The hotel offers a fresh breakfast selection every morning, after which La Valise encourages guests to explore the surrounding area and immerse themselves in Mexico City's spectacular cultural and culinary scene. For those who prefer a cosier setting, the hotel has partnered with a selection of gastronomic hotspots in the local area to deliver handmade delicacies to be enjoyed in-suite.

As part of the expansion, both hotel guests and members of the public can enjoy the brand new 'Piscinema' concept; a play on the words 'piscina' (Spanish for swimming pool) and 'cinema', the space will offer a small pool and private movie screenings.

As Mexico City emerges as an increasingly exciting cultural destination, La Roma is one of its most colourful neighbourhoods and remains a haven of cafes, galleries, and record shops for its community of creatives and hipsters. The hotel works with local partners to offer a variety of interactive offsite experiences ranging from a taco and Mezcal tasting tour to hot air balloon rides over the ruins of Teotihuacan, boat rides through the gardens of Xochimilco, experiences in Coyocán, a Luis Barragan personalised architectural city tour, and more.

Encouraging guests to discover the expanse of Mexico's history, culture and landscape, La Valise extends an exclusive invitation to combine a stay in Mexico City, with a stay at its sister property, La Valise San Miguel de Allende. Facilitated transportation options and enticing package deals available.
