Following the successful debut of Hotel Bardo Savannah, LEFT LANE continues to cement its reputation for excellence in hospitality and design with the announcement of Recess Hotel & Club. Hotel Bardo, acclaimed by Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler, has quickly become a must-visit destination, paving the way for Recess to achieve similar acclaim.

Located at 7 E. Congress Street, the Recess Hotel & Club centers on restoring the historic Manger Building. Originally opened as Hotel Savannah in 1912 and later transformed into The Manger Hotel from 1954 to 1977, the building has since served as office space. LEFT LANE aims to restore its original grandeur, infusing it with a blend of nostalgia and modern design.

Scheduled to open in early 2026, Recess Hotel & Club will offer a sanctuary for members, locals, and guests, featuring amenities that cater to diverse interests and lifestyles. Highlights include co-working spaces, a rooftop pool and bar, a circuit-based spa, and a two-story event space, all designed to encapsulate Savannah's creative spirit.

LEFT LANE's collaboration with Atelier Pond embraces a "retro futurist" aesthetic for Recess Hotel & Club. This design approach combines natural wood, marble, and tile to create an atmosphere that evokes both nostalgia and innovation. The property will offer 136 guest rooms, 23 suites, and 62 bunk rooms, with a "Rumpus Room" on each guest floor to foster social interaction among guests.

At the heart of Recess Hotel & Club are its clubhouse spaces, designed to foster community and social experiences. With four food and beverage outlets, including the classic French brasserie Le Flâneur and the rooftop oasis Kilter, guests will enjoy a variety of culinary delights. The property will also feature The Annex, a versatile event space for gatherings of all sizes.

For wellness enthusiasts, Recess Hotel & Club will host the latest outpost of LEFT LANE's wellness brand, Saltgrass. Located on Congress Street, Saltgrass at Recess will offer comprehensive spa and fitness experiences, including self-guided circuits, biohacking lounges, and group fitness classes.
