Marriott's first Independent Collection hotel in San Luis Obispo is now open and bookable through Marriott and Marriott Bonvoy channels.
Andrew Firestone, former star of ABC's The Bachelor and co-founder of hospitality development company StonePark Capital, announced today that Hotel Cerro has joined the Autograph Collection Hotels by Marriott portfolio following a multimillion-dollar renovation, and is now bookable through Marriott and Marriott Bonvoy channels. Perfectly positioned in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo, California, the landmark hotel features 65 reimagined guest rooms and suites, thoughtfully redesigned public spaces and elevated culinary offerings at two on-site restaurants, including new signaturerestaurant The Oak Grill and new Headwaters rooftop pool bar. Autograph Collection Hotels advocates for the original, championing the individuality of each of its over 290 independent hotels located in the most desirable destinations across 50 countries and territories. Hotel Cerro, Autograph Collection by Marriott, is managed by Azul Hospitality Group, a San Diego-based hospitality management platform that provides an innovative approach to maximizing performance.
Designed by Gensler, who was inspired by the natural beauty of California's Central Coast, Hotel Cerro provides an ideal destination for guests to recharge and reconnect, with expansive shared communal spaces and guestrooms that blend California comfort with contemporary interiors, locally sourced furnishings, and breathtaking views of the Montana de Oro mountains.
Reflecting a neutral palette and featuring abundant lighting, 65 generous guest rooms and suites provide an optimal environment to rest and relax. Located in the historic building, the Loft Suites incorporate original features and fixtures that echo and honor the history of San Luis Obispo. Brick walls, exposed beams and a spacious layout preserve the heritage of the original building and blend it with contemporary style.
In a city with food culture at its heart, Hotel Cerro offers four exceptional restaurants and bar options for guests to discover the rich culture and flavors of the region through handcrafted cocktails and inventive cuisine that's expertly prepared using only the freshest ingredients.
Hotel Cerro's signature restaurant, The Oak Grill, features a timeless menu that mixes upscale staples with seasonal specials, making a splash for every occasion, every time. Many of the dishes incorporate the restaurant's wood-fire oven, including steaks and pizzas, resulting in an unmistakable smokey taste. Highlights including the Pig and Fig Pizza; 16 oz Wood Fire Grilled Rib Eye; Carbonara; and Iberico Pork Chop are customized with products sourced from the abundant agricultural life on the Central Coast, along with hand picked ingredients from the hotel's Edible Gardens. The Oak Grill reaches back into history and is the location of the oldest pub in the county. Guests can feel the magic of tradition at work in the hotel's custom copper Holstein Still, which is prominently housed in the Distillery Room, surrounded by an impressive selection of Whiskeys and Bourbons. The Oak Grill is open every day, 6:00am - 11:00pm.
