Meliá Hotels International expands its portfolio in Greece with the signing of a new franchise agreement under the label INNSiDE by Meliá in Elounda, Crete, signaling a new chapter in lifestyle travel within the country. This move introduces a fresh concept to Greek hospitality - a premium lifestyle brand geared towards the discerning tastes of the new generation of travelers. The agreement, inked on May 24, 2024, not only marks the fifth Meliá hotel in Greece but also signifies the debut of INNSiDE by Meliá in the country. This strategic addition reinforces the partnership between Zeus Hotels and Meliá Hotels International, resulting in a collective offering of over 1050 rooms.
The agreement concerns the current Elounda Ilion, which will be renamed INNSiDE Crete Elounda. Set to open in May 2025, the INNSiDE Crete Elounda will be a fully renovated and rebranded 5-star hotel situated atop a hill with direct sea views in beautiful Elounda. Elounda, located on the northeastern coast of Crete, is celebrated for its picturesque landscapes, and rich historical significance. Overlooking the Gulf of Elounda and near the famous Spinalonga Island, Elounda is a blend of traditional Greek culture and upscale holiday experiences.
