IHG Hotels & Resorts is planning to open a new luxury resort under the Six Senses brand in Telluride, Colorado. The upcoming establishment will feature 77 rooms and 24 exclusive residences.

The project, spearheaded by Matthew Shear and David Jaskel of the Vault Home Collection, is a collaboration with Six Senses to create a wellness-focused hospitality experience in the picturesque town of San Miguel County.

Designed by Vault Design, the exterior will showcase a combination of cedar siding and locally sourced stone, while the interiors, crafted by Rose Ink Workshop, will emphasize natural light and earthy tones, reflecting the surrounding environment. The resort's dining options will include a specialty restaurant, omakase dining, a speakeasy-style bar, and Telluride's first rooftop pool venue. Additionally, there will be a vibrant retail space and conference facilities open to the local community.

The Six Senses branded residences will offer two to five-bedroom options, with some units including an additional den. Residents will have access to amenities such as a gym, cinema, lounge, and game room.

Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses, commented on the development, emphasizing the brand's commitment to integrating with the local community and noting the suitability of Telluride for their wellness and sustainability-focused approach. Jacobs, who lived in the Colorado Rockies in the 1980s, expressed enthusiasm for the brand's mountain venture in North America.

This new Telluride location will add to Six Senses' growing presence in the U.S., alongside projects in Napa Valley and South Carolina. Internationally, the brand continues to expand, with recent openings and developments in the Caribbean and Mexico.

The Six Senses Telluride resort is scheduled to open its doors in 2028.
