The much-anticipated Mercure Szczyrk Resort, a stunning blend of modern design and local tradition, has opened its doors, welcoming guests to an iconic location in the Silesian Beskid.

The opening of Mercure Szczyrk Resort marks a significant milestone for the Mercure brand, beloved by guests for its connection with the local destinations and its reliable hotel services. Located at an altitude of 660 metres above sea level, this flagship property offers unparalleled views of the Silesian Beskid while continuing a hotel tradition that dates back almost 50 years. The opening of this hotel expands Mercure's Polish portfolio to 25 hotels and represents a key step in the brand's expansion in Poland and the wider CEE region.

A Record-Breaking hotel

The hotel's eye-catching exterior, which resembles an eagle's nest and echoes its historic name, blends seamlessly into the landscape, demonstrating how large-scale architectural forms can harmonise with mountains and forests. The hotel's interior and facilities further enhance its natural appeal.

Mercure Szczyrk Resort offers 447 tastefully decorated rooms, each with a direct view of Skrzyczne - the highest peak in the Silesian Beskid. With six diverse dining options, including the Flame and Seasons restaurants, Aqua Bistro and Pool Bar, as well as two bars - WoW Bar and Luna - guests will enjoy a range of local culinary journeys.

The wellness area offers a family pool including 2 slides, a leisure pool with a water bar and three outdoor Jacuzzis, and a 16+ zone featuring six saunas and a salt grotto. The resort also boasts a spa with 10 treatment rooms, saunas, and a fitness centre. For business interactions and events, the hotel offers two conference rooms spanning 2,500 square metres, accommodating up to 1,200 guests, and can be divided into 12 smaller rooms. An outdoor pet area and spaces for campfires and barbecues will be available soon.

Local Inspiration Everywhere

The hotel's picturesque surroundings are thoughtfully integrated into its interior design. The mountain atmosphere can be felt as soon as you enter the hotel thanks to the use of wood in various colours and shapes. In the lobby, guests can admire 'The Nest', a wooden sculpture paying tribute to the hotel's history. Flame restaurant's rustic atmosphere, combined with the aroma of dishes grilled over an open fire, evokes the warmth of a fireside gathering. A few steps away, the WoW Bar offers stunning mountain views, while regional patterns, and a fireplace wall inspired by Highlander art create a cosy environment.

Each room features handmade handicrafts inspired by local craftsmanship, such as the intricate Koniaków Lace patterns, beautifully displayed on the walls. The hotel's pool complex, with its natural finishes and views of the surrounding landscape, provides a mountain stream-like swimming experience.

The Luna bar, located on the 7th floor, is inspired by the beauty of the moonlit night, featuring creative lighting and fireplaces for an intimate atmosphere. Guests at the bar can enjoy lounge seating, a DJ area and access to an outdoor terrace with mountain views.

Rooted in the Mercure brand philosophy, the newly opened hotel embodies the local region, which can be discovered at every turn during your stay.

A Taste of the Polish Mountains

The resort's culinary offerings are a testament to the Mercure brand's commitment to local discovery. The hotel's main restaurant, Seasons, can accommodate 450 guests, or up to 900 when combined with the conference space. The Flame Restaurant, is a standout on the local culinary scene, specialising in high-quality beef grilled over fruitwood. The combination of fire with mountain air, nature and sweet wood smoke will create an unparalleled dining experience.

While the resort is surrounded by nature and offers a tranquil mountain experience, it is located near Szczyrk's town centre and is well connected by motorway and rail to major cities and airports in Poland, as well as the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
