Rue Vivienne: that's where this brand-new hotel in Paris's 2nd arrondissement is anchored. Following in the footsteps of the Bourse and the Bibliothèque de France, Hôtel Filigrane, designed by Anne-Claire Majorel (Studio Majorel) and Sonia Lemagnen (Agence Vertical), is freely inspired by the treasures associated with these two institutions: figured banknotes for one, literate banknotes for the other. From vellum to velvet and other backdrops, the 43 rooms and suites of the Hôtel Filigrane unfold as graphic bundles of monochrome joy. Blue, black & white, red, bistre or green too, all are high on charm, chic and weave. Variable geometries from suites with balconies to connecting rooms, magnifying glass motifs, moiré effects, bathrooms with contrasting strokes: Hôtel Filigrane brings everywhere, between the lines, the impression of an enlightened contemporary haven. The motto of Hôtel Filigrane: relaxation. That's what the wellness area is all about, with its décor paving the way for a weightless respite.
