Set spectacularly along Bodrum peninsula's northern coast, OKU Bodrum, opening in summer 2025, will be an adult's only (16+) retreat within one of Europe's most sought after destinations. Framed by Bodrum's mountains on one side, and the glittering turquoise Aegean on the other, OKU Bodrum makes the most of its seafront location with breathtaking views from the moment guests step into the hotel.
The hotel's idyllic location offers direct access to a protected bay for swimming and is perfectly positioned for exploring the peninsula by both land and sea. A private jetty provides boat access for ocean-faring experiences to quiet lagoons, nearby islands, or the region's famous vibrant marinas with globally renowned restaurants and beach clubs.
The boutique hotel will offer just 58 rooms and suites, each one offering front-facing sea views, terraces from which toenjoy the sunset, and many with a private pool. Guest accommodations are largely suites, thoughtfully designed incorporating sustainable and local touches with OKU's signature laidback style reflected across interiors, with a Turkish flair. Considered design elements include finishes in local marble, integrated breezeways to promote ventilation and cooling, and walls crafted from reclaimed stone excavated from the original foundations. Hotel interiors reflect OKU's signature boho-chic, minimalistic style, from earth-toned linens to beautiful natural materials, and contemporary lines.
For dining, guests can enjoy a choice of three outlets, with a range of options including relaxed local fare and OKU's much-loved fusion cuisine. OKU's signature Japanese fusion restaurant, OKU Restaurant, will be in an open-air setting, reflecting both a tropical and Japanese garden. Fine dining fusion cuisine is served with a buzz, while a separate terrace will offer private dining for special occasions. At the heart of the hotel, the poolside To Kima Restaurant will serve relaxed Mediterranean fare, with a fusion twist. And finally, a Sunset Bar will be perched on the cove-side jetty, serving a selection of meze snacks and crafted cocktails.
The perfectly formed OKU Spa will be the ideal place to retreat for wellness rituals of differing practices, boasting a hammam, sauna, relaxation space, and openair seafront treatment cabanas. A fully equipped fitness studio offers ocean views from the machines and an outdoor movement terrace, and for those looking to reconnect with themselves via meditation, yoga, breathwork and more, the hotel's clifftop yoga shala will be a sacred space and home to a beautiful programme of practices and healing rituals.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR OKU HOTELS
In the coming years, OKU Hotels will continue expanding its portfolio, strengthening both its adults-only offering, and the new family-friendly collection. Upcoming properties in the pipeline will see the brand expand beyond the Mediterranean, with CEO, Piers Bradley, sharing that "OKU's expanding portfolio provides a great growth opportunity, as we bring our laidback luxury touch to a safari experience in South Africa and an island resort in the Indian Ocean in the near future. Experiences play a vital role in the selection of our new properties, with a focus on authentic locations that invite our well-travelled and thoughtful guests to share their time with OKU."
