Marcel Sawyere has been appointed General Manager at Swissotel Le Concorde in Bangkok
Swissotel Hotels & Resorts has appointed Marcel Sawyere as the General Manager of Swissotel Le Concorde. The Swiss national has an extensive managerial background spanning over 29 years, including 11 years in Thailand. Marcel Sawyere’s career began in London as an apprentice at The Savoy and Claridges. A chef by training, he moved to The Regent Hotel in Melbourne, Australia in 1989 and was part of the pre-opening team of the Grand Plaza Park Royal, Singapore as Executive Assistant Manager. Most recently, he was the General Manager of the Ambassador Hotel, Bangkok and previously was in a similar capacity at Impiana Resort, Koh Samui and Pathumwan Princess Hotel, Dusit Resorts.? A Board Member of the Executive Committee of PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association) for Pacific Asia, Marcel Sawyere lists walking and reading up on the latest hospitality trends as some of his hobbies.
