Ian Ekers has been appointed General Manager at The Sukhothai Bangkok
Ian Ekers has been appointed General Manager at The Sukhothai Bangkok, voted by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler US as being among the top hotels in Thailand, and one of the top hotels in the world by Institutional Investor magazine. He will oversee hotel operations, its 210 rooms and suites, world class restaurants, bars and incomparable facilities. Ian, a British national, graduated from Brigham Young University in Hawaii with a Double Major in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Information System and Computer Science. He is a highly experienced hotelier with more than twenty years in the hospitality industry, including The Kahala Hilton Hotel in Hawaii, The Ritz Carlton Millen nia Singapore, The Ritz Carlton Hotel Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, Raffles The Plaza, (now known as Fairmont Singapore), The Shangri-La and Pan Pacific Hotel Group, also in Singapore and the Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa in Malaysia. Prior to his appointment at The Sukothai Bangkok, Ian was General Manager of The Sentosa, a Beaufort Hotel in Singapore.
