Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok, is delighted to welcome Luca Cesarini as its new Executive Chef. Chef Luca will also be responsible for Rossini’s, an award-winning Italian restaurant. Chef Luca is a master of authentic Italian cuisine. A graduate of the renowned Italian College for Culinary Arts in Stresa, Italy, he has a wealth of experience working in renowned restaurants around the world. The naturally gifted and intuitive chef became the Executive Sous Chef at Il Palio restaurant in New York at the age of just 21. It was during this formative period that Chef Luca won a prestigious award at the International Salon Culinaire of Food & Beverage in New York. In 2001, Chef Luca was part of the pre-opening team at The St. Regis Shanghai, China. As Executive Sous Chef he achieved many professional accomplishments including “Best Italian Restaurant” and “Best Restaurant Venue” for two consecutive years. Over his extraordinary career, Chef Luca and his exceptional Italian cuisine have featured in numerous publications including Vogue, Art Culinaire, and several cookery books. He has also appeared on Sky TV. Prior to his appointment, Chef Luca was the Executive Chef at Jumeirah Vittaveli in the Maldives, and Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Coast where under his direction the venue achieved recognition as one of the top 20 Italian restaurants in the USA and the prestigious AAA Five Diamonds Award.
