Timothy G. Nauss named HFTP Global Treasurer at Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP)
As of November 1,Timothy G. Nauss, begins his term as the HFTP Global Treasurer of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), an association providing education and networking opportunities for hospitality industry professionals across the globe. Nauss, who is the CFO for the just-opened Studio City Macau, was elected at the association's Annual Business Meeting at the 2015 Annual Convention & Tradeshow in Bellevue, Wash. USA. In the coming year, the association is looking to continue with expanding its global reach, including new educational opportunities in Far-East Asia, India and Europe; promoting HFTP’s new, hospitality-specific search site Pineapplesearch.com; and maintaining the top-notch education and resources for the hospitality finance and technology professional community. Nauss has senior management experience in key international and domestic markets, at property, regional and corporate levels overseeing multi-property assets. A veteran of the hospitality and gaming industry, he has worked with leading groups such as Wynn Resorts, Las Vegas Sands, Wyndham and Hilton. Prior to his current position, he served as executive director of finance, and led the finance division's pre-opening efforts for the Wynn Palace project in Macau. This was after four-and-a-half years as director of finance for Wynn Macau. Studio City Macau, which opened on October 27, is a cinematic inspired entertainment and leisure destination and is designed to be the most diversified entertainment offering in Macau. Nauss previously served on the HFTP Global Board of Directors from 2011–2014 and has been an HFTP member since 1990. He also served as vice chair of the HFTP International Evaluation Council. As treasurer, Nauss serves on the HFTP Global Executive Committee along with: President Arlene Ramirez, CHAE, CHE, CHIA, MBA, principal of ADR Hospitality Consulting; Vice President Lyle Worthington, CHTP an hospitality IT consultant; Secretary Scot Campbell, CHTP, the vice president and chief architectural officer IT for Caesars Entertainment; and Immediate Past President Daniel N. Conti, Jr., CHAE, CAM, the director of finance for the Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place.
