Ian Telford has been appointed General Manager at Blakes Hotel
Blakes Hotel, one of the world’s first luxury boutique hotels, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Telford as General Manager. Effective as of 1st August 2016, Ian Telford will oversee all of the operations at the South Kensington establishment, including the recently relaunched restaurant and a forthcoming bar launch. Bringing over 30 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry to the role, Ian Telford has received various accolades along the way, and gained invaluable experience during his time at Morgans hotels group, playing pivotal roles at Sanderson and St Martins Lane Hotel, leading to the global position of Director of Guest Experience for the whole group. Ian’s most recent achievements include being part of the opening team of Andre Balazs’ Chiltern Firehouse, where he played a crucial role in its resounding success and developed innovative strategies to offer guests a world renowned boutique experience. In his earlier career Ian built a strong operational background in the food and beverage sectors across the UK which later led him to make the decision to establish his position in the luxury hospitality sector in some of the top London properties.
