Mark Sutton has been appointed Director Of Development Midscale Development Northeast U.S. at Radisson Hotel Group
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel groups, today announced Mark Sutton as director of Midscale Development for the Northeast U.S. Sutton is based in Philadelphia and will report to Fred Schwartz, senior vice president, Midscale Development, Americas. Most recently Sutton was vice president of Business Development at Ten-X Commercial. Prior to that Sutton held director positions with Red Roof Inns, Choice Hotels and Cendant/HFS (Wyndham).
Sutton is joining the Carlson Rezidor Americas development team as they come off a strong year having added 65 new properties to the pipeline. He will be focused on growing the Country Inns & Suites By Carlson brand that has a flexible design for new builds or conversions and adapts to both urban and suburban locations with economical building and operating costs. In addition, he will be working to identify opportunities for Radisson RED, Carlson Rezidor’s newest brand. RED is a select service concept with a forward-thinking focus on design and detail, the customer experience, and recognition of the increasingly important role that technology plays in everyday life. Radisson RED offers developers and property owners a lower per-key cost than a traditional upscale hotel, through a multi-functional approach and more efficient space planning, which significantly reduce construction and operating costs, while driving higher margins
