Christina Gibson has been appointed Associate Director of Catering at Salamander Hotels & Resorts
Ringing in the start of the holiday season, Salamander Resort & Spa, the luxury resort located just outside of Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce the appointment of Christina Gibson as Associate Director of Catering. Gibson’s arrival comes just in time for guests looking to host holiday parties in Salamander style. Gibson will dive into her new role and begin to spread the cheer by helping guests plan and execute their holiday festivities – managing the logistics and handling the party details, simplifying the planning process so all are able to enjoy a merry celebration. With over a decade of expertise in the hospitality industry, Christina Gibson brings a rich background in guest services, event planning and sales management. Gibson has held various positions at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in McLean, VA and the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, VA. She later served as Catering and Golf Coordinator and more recently as the Event Sales Manager at the nearby luxury resort, Lansdowne Resort and Spa in Leesburg, VA. Her time and immersion in the industry has molded her into a detail oriented professional with strong leadership qualities while her experiences in Northern Virginia have expanded her knowledge of the area’s demographics. Gibson has developed a comprehensive understanding of what companies, guests and locals are looking for when hosting in Northern Virginia – easily exceeding their expectations.
