Shakti Singh Gohil Shakti Singh Gohil has joined Courtyard Marriott, Ahmedabad as the Manager, Food and Beverage with effect from October 4, 2017. He brings with him over 13 years of experience in some of the top hospitality properties of the country. In his latest stint, he will be in-charge of managing all F&B outlets within the budget ambit with stellar assurance of internal and external customer service. His top task will be to lead the team from the front and train, recruit and appraise talented personnel in the organization. Designing exceptional menus for the property’s trusted base of connoisseurs and meeting set targets, very crucial to his repertoire of skills, are some of the key assets added now to Courtyard Marriott, Ahmedabad. Before taking on the mantle of F&B Manager at Courtyard Marriott, Ahmedabad, Shakti was fulfilling responsibilities as Assistant Director, F&B, at Hyatt Ahmedabad from April 2017. At Marriott Suites, Pune, he was Director, Food & Beverage from July to October, 2016, his deft hands helped achieve the budgeted revenue of his department. He did timely analysis of the price factors in F&B in comparison to competition. The result veered positively and steadfast profitability was gained. He was stationed at Hyatt Regency, Ahmedabad October 2014 to July 2016 as a pre-opening team member in the capacity of Assistant Director, F&B and assisted in the preparation of the annual business plan. He is credited to have ensured each profit center operated in line with profits and delivered maximum brand value. In March 2013, he joined as the Managing Partner at Mint Hospitality that owned three outlets in Mumbai and one in Ambala and specialized in dishing out Continental and Indian cuisine. Between October 2010 and February 2013, Shakti carried out competitive market research at JW Marriott, Mumbai. It was here that he stayed abreast of raging trends in the food and beverage industry and monitored guest satisfaction weekly. He was responsible for preselection and initial hiring and training of all associates in conjunction with the HR department. It was at JW Marriott, Mumbai where he began as an Assistant Banquet Manager in December 2007 and gradually became the Banquet In-charge in February 2008. He was next vested with the charge of a Manager at Bombay Baking Company in July 2008. The multiple charges handled successfully only lend credence to his skills. He navigated through myriad roles with panache. He has been a Manager of the Month twice at JW Marriott, Mumbai and an Associate of the Month thrice at the same property. His laurels earned early on as a student perhaps, was a harbinger of a prized approaching career dotted with successes. He was awarded the Best All-rounder in 2000 at Mayo College and was bestowed certificates for his debating skills. He next went on to join Taj Mahal Palace and Tower in November 2004 to kick start his travels in hospitality industry and wear multiple hats of achievement then on.
