Michel Morauw

Hyatt France has announced the appointment of Michel Morauw as Regional Vice President of Operations in France.

In his new role, Michel Morauw will be responsible in France for the execution of Hyatt's operational strategy and the strategic growth of the group's brands as part of the company's global expansion plans. With 8 upscale hotels, France is Hyatt's largest hotel portfolio in Europe with, among others, the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile, the Hyatt Regency Paris Charles de Gaulle, the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Mediterranee, the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme, the Hyatt Paris Madeleine, the Hyatt Centric La Rosière, the Martinez Hotel in Cannes and the Hôtel du Louvre in Paris.
A Belgian national, Michel Morauw began his career at Hyatt in 1984 as a trainee at the Hyatt Regency at Capitol Hill in Washington. His first assignment as General Manager was in 1996 at the Hyatt Regency Paris-Madeleine. A few years later, in 1999, Michel Morauw was named Managing Director of the year. He continued his career by successfully managing the Hyatt Regency Paris Charles de Gaulle, Park Hyatt Washington, Andaz West Hollywood, Hyatt Paris Madeleine and more recently, the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile. Aged 57 today, Michel Morauw is married and has three daughters.
