Marline Avelar has been appointed director of sales and marketing of Rosewood CordeValle, the luxury resort located in San Martin, California. In this role, Avelar will oversee the resort's sales and marketing departments, acting as a leader in innovation and strategy. As part of her recent promotion, Avelar will call upon her strong leadership skills and wealth of knowledge to develop and implement creative sales and marketing plans for Rosewood CordeValle.
Avelar brings over twenty years of managerial and sales experience to her new role as director of sales and marketing. Avelar previously served as the director of group sales for Rosewood CordeValle where she led the team in creating and executing a sales plan addressing both consumer-facing and internal needs. Throughout her career, Avelar has served as a sales manager for Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa in Monterey, California, Seascape Beach Resort in Aptos, California, and Quail Lodge in Carmel, California. Avelar began her career as catering and conference service manager for Carmel Valley Ranch in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, after graduating from Chico California State University with a degree in Recreation Administration.
