Henrik Muehle has been appointed Member of the International Advisory Board of Hoteliers of the Small Luxury Hotels of the WorldTM at Small Luxury Hotels
Henrik Muehle, General Manager of Flemings Mayfair, has been re- appointed to the Small Luxury Hotels of the WorldTM (SLH) International Advisory Board of Hoteliers for another three-year term.
Henrik serves on the IABH alongside Andrew Grahame (Dormy House, Cotswolds, UK), Christopher Stafford (137 Pillars House, Chiang Mai, Thailand), Jerome Tourbier (Les Sources de Caudalie, France), Andrea Spalletti Trivelli (Villa Spalletti Trivelli, Italy), Samir Saab (Casas del XVI, Dominican Republic), Anchalika Kijkanakorn (Aleenta Resort and Spa Phuket, Thailand), Daniel Koester (Le Grand Bellevue, Switzerland), Judith Volker (Hotel Tannenhof, Austria), Laurent Myter (Pangkor Laut, Malaysia), Fernando Davila (Olive Boutique Hotel, Puerto Rico) and Richard Widman (Wentworth Mansion, USA Americas).
Henrik has been an active member of the SLH board for six years and has been serving as a Director on the Executive Board for two years.
With over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry, Henrik began his hospitality career in his native Germany and in France; he was originally introduced to Small Luxury Hotels of the WorldTM in his position at Tylney Hall in Hampshire. In 2002, he took his first General Manager role at The Capital Hotel in London, introducing it to SLH whilst the restaurant, headed up by ric Chavot, earned two Michelin stars. In 2009, he moved to St. Jamess Hotel and Club as Managing Director, once again signing with SLH and opening a new restaurant, Seven Park Place by William Drabble, which was awarded a Michelin star within one year of opening.
After five successful years, Henrik joined luxury boutique hotel Flemings Mayfair. As General Manager, he oversaw the 16-million-pound refurbishment of the suites, apartments, 129 bedrooms and introduced Ormer Mayfair by TV Personality and Michelin-awarded chef Shaun Rankin. Under his direction both the hotel and restaurant have won numerous accolades Ormer was named 5th best restaurant in London by Hardens in 2017 and Flemings Mayfair was awarded Best Newcomer or Back on the Scene Hotel at the 2018 Cond Nast Johansens UK & Ireland Awards for Excellence.
