Andrey Gomez has been appointed Managing Director at Islas Secas

Islas Secas, Panama is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrey Gomez as Managing Director. Andrey brings 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to Islas Secas, where he previously managed two of Central America's top-rated hotels.
Andrey's appointment at the resort is outstanding news for the team. As Managing Director, Andrey will apply his extensive knowledge of the luxury travel industry to the eponymous eco resort where he will oversee all day-to-day operations, including providing exceptional customer service, expanding sales and marketing initiatives and supervising staff development. Within this role, Andrey and his team will also serve as stewards of Islas Secas's commitment to sustainability, conservation, responsible stewardship and community.
Known as the crown jewel of the Gulf of Chiriquí, the archipelago of Islas Secas is comprised of 14 islands 33 nautical miles from the town of Punta Tierra, Chorcha. Andrey's expertise in managing operations similar to Islas Secas in its eco-friendly nature and remote location converges harmoniously with the resort's commitment to sustainability, providing him with the perfect opportunity to lead the team into the future.
Throughout his career, Andrey has worked with a collection of hotels in Central America, with his most recent position as General Manager of Morgan's Rock Ecolodge, where he served over six years. Prior to this, Andrey worked as General Manager of El Silencio Lodge & Spa for six years and General Manager of Hotel Punta Islita, and has held management assessment positions at other boutique properties in Costa Rica.
Andrey's passion for service fuels his desire to build and foster successful and positive relationships between the local community and the resort. He is committed to bringing his wealth of knowledge to Islas Secas, where he will continue the transformation of the resort into a must-visit destination for discerning travelers and ensure each guest experience will be memorable. As Managing Director, Andrey will work closely with the dedicated conservation team to weave sustainability and stewardship touchpoints into the resort experience.
