Kyle Jackson

After successfully leading his team through the challenges of the pandemic in his previous role, Kyle Jackson has an exciting new role to step into as General Manager of The Study at University of Chicago. In his new role, Jackson will oversee the hotel's opening this fall and ongoing operations, launching the third property for the Study Hotels brand.

A well-respected business leader in Chicago's hospitality industry, Jackson brings more than a decade of management and operations experience to Study Hotels. His exemplary track record at leading cross-functional management operations garnered him two Leader of the Year awards in 2016 and 2018. In his previous position as Director of Operations for Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile, Jackson was responsible for building the hotel's business continuity plan during the pandemic, successfully navigating the unprecedented period to exceed ownership and corporate projections. A champion for his team, Jackson also oversaw a thirty percent increase in employee satisfaction and retention during his time at the Sofitel Chicago, all while managing labor productivity and creating an incremental revenue program that yielded a significant increase in year-over-year performance. Before working at the Sofitel Chicago, the University of Missouri alumni held the positions of Director of Operations at The Metropolitan Club, Director of Front Office Operations at The Hotel Chicago, and also spent time in Austin as the Director of Rooms Division Operations of The Sheraton Austin Hotel at The Capitol.

As General Manager at The Study at University of Chicago, Jackson plans to lead the newly formed team to success by cultivating a positive associate culture, driving exceptional and innovative customer service, and delivering a fresh approach to operations.
