Stefen Shatto

Inn at the Pier in Pismo Beach is pleased to welcome Stefen Shatto as the seaside hotel's new Executive Chef. With a decade of experience in the culinary industry, Chef Stefen is sure to bring a new flavor to Blonde Restaurant and Bar, as well as the hotel's popular Rooftop.

Chef Stefen grew up on a farm in Iowa where gardening the land alongside his mother and father first sparked his interest in the culinary arts. He attended Iowa Western Culinary School and went on to work at many acclaimed restaurants to gain experience. He then traveled to Rome, Italy where he worked at several restaurants including, II Vecchio as Executive Chef. Within II Vecchio's first year of business, they were given the Best Italian Award of Monterey, which became an annual gift, thereafter.

Returning to California, Chef Stefen attended Pebble Beach Food and Wine with II Vecchio and worked at Citizen Hotel in Sacramento among others. He is now thrilled to call Inn at the Pier home and to be the charming and contemporary hotel's Executive Chef.
