Nicolas Dubort has been appointed General Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C.
Seasoned hotelier Nicolas Dubort has been appointed as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C. In his new role, Mr. Dubort will oversee all aspects of the 373-room property along with the hotel's luxury Spa, dining outlets, and catering and events.
With over 25 years of hospitality experience Mr. Dubort has worked for top hotels around the world including Hotel Bel-Air and The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, The Dorchester in London, The Peninsula Chicago, Le Bristol in Paris, and Four Seasons Philadelphia. Mr. Dubort is not new to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group having served as Director of Food and Beverage at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, overseeing the operations of 10 outlets. He then returned to the United States having been named Director of Food and Beverage for Mandarin Oriental, New York, subsequently being promoted to Hotel Manager in Washington, D.C.
Since joining the Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C. Mr. Dubort has implemented several initiatives to improve the hotel's urban resort positing and expand its appeal to luxury leisure travelers. Originally from Paris, France, Mr. Dubort holds a bachelor's degree in Hotel Management from Jean Quarré in Paris. In his personal time, Mr. Dubort enjoys spending time with his family and exploring D.C. and the surrounding areas.
