Jobin Thomas

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas is pleased to announce the appointment of Jobin Thomas as Chef de Cuisine of Bleuwater, one of the property's four distinct dining outlets, offering a fine dining Asian experience alongside breathtaking unobstructed views of Great Bay.

Born in Bangalore, India, Jobin was exposed to a culture of color and light, numerous flavors, and textures, which instilled his early passion for food. His cooking career began in Toronto at the age of 15, where he learned about French cuisine at various renowned restaurants. At the young age of 19, Jobin was nominated for the Hawksworth Young Chef Competition where he finished as a semi-finalist. After graduating from culinary school, Jobin joined the kitchen staff at TOCA, the acclaimed restaurant within The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto. There, he worked closely with consulting Michelin-star Chef Oliver Glowig and Executive Chef Paul Shewchuk while moving his way up to the position of Restaurant Chef. In his new role, Jobin will oversee Bleuwater's food and beverage offerings and operations including managing a talented kitchen staff and applying his unique culinary expertise to curate innovative dining experiences.
