Billy Skelli-Cohen

Eden Hotels ("Eden"), the Dutch hotel group owned by the Dijkstra family and KSL Capital Partners ("KSL") announces today that Billy Skelli-Cohen (45) has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Earlier this week, Lèon Dijkstra introduced his successor to the Eden Hotels teams and informed about his new role in the Supervisory Board. The majority investment in the group made by KSL recently (December 2021) should enable the combined ambition to grow the company and expand into Europe.
Eden Hotels currently owns and operates 14 hotels with nearly 2,000 rooms, mainly in Amsterdam and other major Dutch cities. The company was built up in almost 75 years by the Dijkstra family and includes the 400-room Eden Hotel Amsterdam and the Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American. The company currently employs more than 500 people, spread over the hotels and the Service Centre.

KSL's investment will enable Eden to realize a growth plan in the Netherlands and Europe. Skelli-Cohen is highly experienced in hospitality with a track record in investment, development and operation. Previously as CEO of Lore Group, Skelli-Cohen led the acquisitions, repositioning and operation of its iconic hotels such as Pulitzer Amsterdam, Sea Containers London and Riggs Washington DC.

Lèon Dijkstra, shareholder and board member, says: "Our partnership with KSL in December marked the start of our growth plans, having Billy on board will help us make this happen. With the support of KSL, our core DNA and Billy's experience, we take Eden to the next level and start our European growth".

Most recently Billy co-founded, soon to be launched, hospitality brand Àterre.
