Vance Roderick

Vance Roderick brings over 35 years of experience to his role as General Manager of Food and Beverage at King Tide Fish & Shell. A Portland native, Vance began his career in hospitality at the age of 14,serving in different positions at various restaurants.

He spent over 13 years with Marriott International which later merged with Sodexho to become one of the largest food service companies in North America. During his tenure with Marriott, Vanceheld multiple positions with the company, initially serving as Director of Corporate Services and General Manager where he was responsible for overseeing multi-account locations and then transitioning to back of house as Regional Executive Chef where he trained associates and planned large district catering projects. Most recently, Vance served as Senior Area Manager for Guckenheimer Enterprises and won several awards for his oversight of high-end corporate dining initiatives for clients like Twitter, Airbnb, and REI Head Quarters.

Since joining the team at King Tide Fish & Shell, Vance has played an integral role in managing both front and back of house operations and is looking forward to working alongside Executive Chef Alexander Diestra to bring new menu items, innovative programming and pop-ups to restaurant guests. While not at work, Vance enjoys entertaining guests and hosting dinner parties at home, traveling, and working on his vintage mustang convertible.
